7. As much as possible, avoid biting your nails. Not only can it form irregularities in its shape but it can also discolor it or delay its growth.
8. Use hand moisturizers with sunblocks for protection. Do have your hand massaged to improve circulation in that area and use natural substances in doing this.

Brittle Nail Syndrome: Why You Have It and How to Cure It
If you have brittle nails, you know how frustrating and unsightly this problem can be! The good news is you don’t have to let it progress to the point where you’re embarrassed to show your hands. The brittle nail problem can be corrected in most people by a few simple interventions.

Supplementation with flaxseed oil can also have the same effect. Another treatment that has been shown to work in around 30% of people is supplementation with the vitamin, Biotin. Unfortunately, it can take up to 6 months for the improvement to become apparent. Be patient and you might find this treatment to be quite effective.
